“And the Lord called his people ZION, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them.”
(Moses 7:18)

[NEW! 2 July 2004] Thank you all for being here this past week. We hope that you enjoyed yourself, but more importantly, that you learned something while you were here and that your testimony was strengthened.

So did you enjoy the Symposium?

Thanks to all of you who filled out evaluation forms. But we want to hear more. Send us an email about your experience: what you learned, how the Symposium touched you or helped you. We'll even post some of them here (we'll take your name off if you prefer) so that others can read about your experience.

We hope that you enjoyed the premiere of the short film "The Doubter" on Thursday night. If you're interested in buying your own copy. contact us at deafsymp04@deaflds.org. The DVD costs $12, with the proceeds going to fund more movies and projects like "The Doubter." Thanks again to Jim Harper, Bobby Giles, the Leninger family, and all those who contributed to the projects.

"Where are you?"

Many of you commented that "we wish we knew more earlier" or "you need to advertise to the Deaf on the East Coast better." We agree. We hope that the Symposium will help improve our network of Deaf units and wards. Please let us know where you are, what ward you attend, what kind of Deaf services there are, and if there's a temple nearby.

Pictures are coming...

Have any good pictures of the Symposium you want to share? Email them to us at deafsymp04@deaflds.org.

“How can I help?”

As many of you know, The Deaf Symposium is a non-profit activity. And, in the spirit of Zion, many of you came up to us after the banquet on Thursday night and asked how you could help. While we can't really ask you, any donation you wish to make to the Symposium is welcomed. Contact us for more information.

Did You Know?...
After we left the banquet room Thursday night, we noticed an amazing thing:
the name of our banquet room was called "Zion." Can you beleive it?! We really did come together in Zion...
